ZILLO Academy : Understanding Your Life in Care. (Learning Module)
Being in care can come with lots of questions, and that’s completely normal. ZILLO Academy is here to help you find the answers.
We’re excited to announce a brand-new ZILLO Academy lesson all about being in care, understanding your rights and knowing who is there to support you.
Whether you’ve just come into care, have been in care for a while, or are starting to think about what comes next, the lesson has been designed to help you understand how things work and feel more confident about asking questions and having your say.
💬 Your care. Your rights. Your voice.
Sometimes it can feel like there are lots of different people, meetings and plans involved when you’re in care. Knowing who everyone is and what they’re responsible for can make a big difference.
In the new lesson, you’ll learn about:
Your rights as a young person in care
Who’s who and the different people who are there to support you
What a Care Plan is and why it matters
How you can have your voice heard
Who you can talk to if you’re worried, unhappy or unsure about something
How you can speak up about the decisions that affect your life
Most importantly, the lesson is about helping you understand that your views matter.
You have the right to ask questions, understand the decisions being made about you and tell people what you think and how you feel.
🏆 Complete the lesson and earn your certificate
Once you’ve worked your way through the lesson, you can put what you’ve learned to the test by completing the ZILLO Academy quiz.
