What is the UK Youth Parliament?

The UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) was set up 25 years ago and gives young people a real voice in democracy. It is made up of over 300 young people aged 11–18 from across the UK who are elected to represent the views of their peers.

MYPs work on important issues that matter to young people, campaign for change, and make sure youth voices are heard at local and national level. Elections take place every two years, and thousands of young people get involved.
