Lifelong Links
At Wirral’s Permanence Service we know that good, caring relationships help young people do well. No one should face life’s problems alone. Everyone deserves people who care about them, support them and believe in them.
Lifelong Links is a way to help children and young people find and build strong relationships with the people who matter most. These could be family members, friends, former carers, teachers, neighbours, people in the community, or other trusted adults who can keep supporting them into adulthood.
Lifelong Links brings the important people in a young person’s life together to form a support network. This network can give encouragement, advice, practical help and a sense of belonging for many years.
We are excited to start Lifelong Links across our service. This will help us focus on relationships and make family and community connections stronger for children and young people.
Launch event
To celebrate Lifelong Links we will hold a launch event in November 2025. Young people, professionals and partners will come together to learn about the programme, share experiences and celebrate the importance of lifelong relationships.
We will share more details about the event soon. We look forward to working together so every young person has a strong network they can rely on throughout their life.
