YOUTH PARLIAMENT IS BACK!! – 15TH NOVEMBER 2022, 4:30pm- 8.30pm at WALLASEY TOWN HALL

We are very pleased to announce that the Youth Parliament will take place this year after a break of three years due to Covid restrictions.

Please find attached information for the event which includes a staff briefing paper, a briefing paper for young people and an attendees form and motion sheet which needs to be returned by noon 4th November 2022 to selinewakerley@wirral.gov.uk AND claireparr@wirral.gov.uk

Up to 4 young people can attend from each school or youth group and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The theme of the Parliament debate is HATE CRIME.

Outline Agenda for the 2022 Youth Parliament:

4.30pm – 5pm                  Refreshments in the Civic Hall

5.00pm – 6pm                  Pre-parliament workshop with Wirral Borough Council Councillors, Officers and professionals from youth related services

6pm      – 6.15pm             Move into Council Chamber                                     

6.15pm                             Mayor of Wirral opens the 2022 Youth Parliament session.

8.30pm                            Mayor of Wirral closes the 2022 Youth Parliament
