Wirral Poetry Festival 2025

  • On the corner of King George’s Drive and Windy Bank, Wirral, England, CH62 4UL United Kingdom (map)

Make it stand out

The Festival believes in the transformative power of poetry and hopes this weekend will inspire your creativity. The Festival aims to be a welcoming place whoever you are and whatever your experience of poetry.

Most Festival events are FREE and Port Sunlight is only a short train journey from Liverpool or Chester. You can enjoy poetry readings, book launches, poetry walks, a poetry slam and activities for children. Two events will have a BSL interpreter.

Poetry on the Green (next to the Lady Lever Art Gallery) runs on both days and features readings by many local poetry groups.

The Festival is run by volunteers and holds events throughout the year, such as online workshops and poetry picnics.
