Do you LOVE music, want to develop your playing or give new instruments a try?
Want to meet, jam and collaborate with likeminded music makers?
Want to learn how to mix live sound + lighting?
If the answer to any of these is YES then get yourself to the New Noise Music Centre.
New Noise Music Centre is here to support the next generation of music makers. This is a space for young people aged 13-16 to experiment across a range of instruments and music-making techniques. Each session begins with a full-group exploration of a theme, moves into focused workshop sessions with dedicated tutors, and culminates in small project groups where participants work on songs, performances, or music-related projects. Over three terms, young people will gain tangible skills, confidence, and industry understanding all while working toward performances and showcases at Future Yard itself.
Whether you dream of performing, working with technology, or exploring careers in the music industry, this refreshed New Noise experience gives you the skills, inspiration, and insight to make it happen. This is a safe space for young musicians to meet like minded people and work towards inspiring goals together.
This isn’t your standard music class. New Noise combines:
Hands-on music-making: song writing, live performance, improvisation, and technology.
Industry insight: guidance from local musicians, producers, and live event professionals.
Creative identity & collaboration: from band branding and visual design to festival and gig planning.
Exciting topical themes: including global music, social and environmental storytelling, and event design.
Participants are encouraged to try as many disciplines as possible. Complete beginners and experienced players are all welcome. All we ask is you come with an openness to collaborate, try new things and make some noise!
