Advocacy

Having someone on your side

Sometimes you might need help to make your voice heard.

An advocate is someone who is independent and is there to support you. They will listen to what you want, explain your rights and help you share your views with the people making decisions about your life.

An advocate is on your side. They won't make decisions for you or tell you what to do—they'll help you speak up and make sure your views are heard.
