New Noise Music Centre is here to support the next generation of music makers. This is a space for young people aged 11-16 to experiment across a range of instruments and music-making techniques. Try your hand at guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and singing in sessions led by our team of hugely experienced and passionate tutors. And if you want to try your hand at the production side of things, you can take your turn behind the mixing desk and get a taster of live sound and lighting.
The New Noise project is all about exploring the music that young people love, across a range of genres, including rock, pop, electronic, hip hop, jazz and everything in between. And we’ve now got specific session for 11-13s and 14-16s, with a new expanded version of the New Noise course.

This term of NNMC takes place between 23rd September and 9th December 2023, with a break on 21st and 28th of October for half term.
11-13 year-olds sessions run on Saturday morning during term time, 9.30am-11.30am. This is ongoing until they reach 14 and progress into the older age bracket.
14-16 year-olds sessions run on Saturday afternoons during term time, 12.00pm-2.30pm (with additional rehearsal time until 3.30pm after week 5). This is a structured programme that runs for two terms, ending at Easter.
There is a termly fee for New Noise places, with a number of bursaries available.
New Noise Music Centre is a collaboration between Future Yard and Edsential – Wirral’s Music Education Hub.
