Call out opportunity to showcase the work and creativity of Wirral singer songwriters and choirs as part of Borough of Culture 2024.

For three amazing days Birkenhead Park will host Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation. And on Thursday 30 May we’re inviting you to perform a song under Gaia and as part of a fire lit concert in an out of this world setting.

We have a number of “performance slots” during the morning afternoon and early afternoon and in the evening the opportunity to take part in very special celebratory concert.

We would love you to play a part in Wirral’s incredible Borough of Culture celebrations by using your cycling skills in an out of this world event.

On 29 and 30 May 2024 Walk the Plank will be bringing our ingenious People Powered Rocket to Birkenhead Park to celebrate Love Your Earth Day and Wirral Sings – two events taking place under Luke Jerram’s incredible Gaia artwork.

You would need to be available from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Wednesday 29 and from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday 30th to help pedal our Stephenson’s rocket replica carrying six pantomime horses around the park.

Refreshments will be provided and travel expenses can be reimbursed.

DANCE AROUND THE GLOBE ARTISTS AND COMMUNITY GROUP CALL OUT

Call out opportunity to showcase the talents and creativity of Wirral dance and movement artists and community groups as part of Borough of Culture 2024.

For three amazing days Birkenhead Park will host Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation. If Zumba, Mersey Morris, ballroom, Irish or Ukranian dance is your speciality, or yoga at sunrise or Qigong at dusk, boxercise or wrestling, we want to showcase you and your group for a demonstration or drop-in session in an out of this world setting.

We have a number of “performance slots” during the morning afternoon and early evening of Tuesday 28 May 2024.

Call out opportunity to showcase the work and creativity of Wirral environmental artists and community groups as part of Borough of Culture 2024.

For three amazing days Birkenhead Park will host Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation. If gorilla gardening, allotmenteering, recycling, bee keeping, pollinator planting, re wilding, alternative power, climate change, low carbon are your interests we want to showcase you and your group for a demonstration and drop-in session in an out of this world setting.

We have a number of “performance slots” during the morning afternoon and early evening of Wednesday 29 May 2024 to demonstrate your passion under Gaia and places at our environmental marketplace to share your work, engage locally and recruit support.
